Salisbury & District Angling Club – River Invertebrate Larvae.

This database contains high resolution images to assist with the identification of river invertebrate larvae – mostly to species level. Where applicable, identification features link into the standard FBA Keys and a pollution & conservation ‘Fingerprint’ table is shown for each species.

To access the images please register and your account will be manually activated usually with 24 hours.

Images can be downloaded (for personal use only) onto a PC, Tablet or Smartphone. As these images have taken many thousands of hours to produce, registration to use this database assumes that the copyright and conditions set out below are strictly observed.

Commercial usage either in print or digital format is prohibited without the explicit written consent of  the Salisbury & District Angling Club.
If agreed a commercial rate will be charged for single use per image.
Apart from size, downloaded images must not be altered or manipulated in any way, headers, logos, badges and copyright notices must not be removed.

Whilst all images can be download, for ease of identification, it is suggested that only those species found at the users river/site are downloaded – most S&DAC sites have been surveyed to species level. These can then be transferred into a suitable photo app.

This database will be continually updated with corrections and additions. Any feedback is therefore welcome.

If you would like an river invertebrate larvae or adult mayfly, sedge or stonefly identified please upload an image using the contact form.
